In previous plane rides, I got distracted by the uncomfortable seating, the outside noise and bright flashes from phones. I learned my lesson and got these for a long international flight and it was very useful for sure. The cushiony back helps add some cushiness that is often sorely missing on the Economy seats. The eye mask helped in blocking out the bright lights. The item has good foaminess while still being compact and portable. Given the restrictions when it comes to carry-ons, I like that you are able to keep it in a smaller and more portable shape.
