calculush1 - Really only for airplane, but does a great job - SARISUN 360 TRAVEL PILLOW

This is a really cool concept. Once I saw it, I knew I had to try it. I travel a lot for work and for play and I'm often asleep on planes. This neck pillow/ brace is covered in a lovely soft material that feels nice against the skin and is well cushioned. I didn't realize that you have to wear the eye mask for this pillow to work. The eye mask velcro to the neck brace to completely wrap around your head. Without the eye mask, the neck "pillow" won't work. Conceptually, this was not great for me because I like to keep my eyes free, but when I'm actually asleep, I don't care much. You need to be able to strap this pillow to a head rest, and more specifically the narrow individual head rests that they have on airplanes. This is why the description specifically states that this is for airplanes. I don't think this would work on the wide seat backs of an Amtrak train or the thick seat backs of a Greyhound or charter bus. I could be wrong but there doesn't seem to be enough give in the straps for all that. I will update if I find other modes of transportation where I *can* use this neck pillow, other than a plane. This is a cool concept that relies on hardware available on PLANES. For instance what if my flight is delayed and I want to sleep in my seat at the gate? In that situation, there would be nothing to attach this neck pillow to. It doesn't work all by itself. For that reason, I'll probablyalso bring my good old inflatable neck pillow. It was also difficult for me to get the rolled up neck pillow/ brace back in the storage bag. I wish the storage bag were a little bit bigger. All these mild complaints aside, this is a GREAT neck pillow for the *airplane*. I fall asleep HARD with this thing on and with no neck pain, too! On my last flight from San Francisco to New York I fell asleep before we left the gate and had to force myself to wake up once we landed! It works and is very comfortable.
