This is what you'd call a deluxe all-in-one-eye-mask-neck- pillow! My head falls forward when sleeping upright, this pillow helps my head from doing that. It was a lot softer than I expected. I didn't use the eye mask just slipped it back, it made me feel too cumbersome and a little claustrophobic. Sometimes I'll cover my eyes with sunglasses when I travel/sleep. If you don't mind having your head kept back and unable to move it very much, then this is a great pillow for you.
