Keeps your head comfortably supported so you can sleep. It works quite well. And yes, very comfortable. You can use it over your eyes, or you can also put it around yoru forehead if you want to keep your eyes uncovered while using it. The eye cover had a ridge around it so it doesn't rest directly on your eyes, which is important. And it comes with a nice little bag to roll it up for storage. Plus you can tie the bag to the outside of your bag if you're out of space. I highly recommend it. I would absolutely buy again.
