I tested this on the plane and it was a successful solution. It wasn't too hard to get attached to the head rest even when seated and buckled in with someone right next to me. I wasn't sure if the clips going under the headrest would be a problem, but I was able to get it into place. It provided a solid support for my head. I like the padding and the face cradle part is comfortable. It goes back into it's bag without trouble. You can adjust the Velcro to swing your head more to one side or the other. All and all a good solution as a travel pillow.
