L. Dukes - Not really a neck pillow, but a comfy head support and great eyeshade. Much better!

I take multiple 20+ hour long-haul flights a year for work and I think I have tried every type of pillow there is - small, large, inflatable, memory foam - and gave up on all of them. They are too bulky or uncomfortable around my neck or too squishy or too hard or too difficult to position correctly. Maybe I am the airplane version of the princess and the pea. Sadly, I am one of those people who sleeps easily on a plane but constantly wakes myself up when my head tips forward with a clunk and startles me awake. Over and over again. My seatmates must find it either hilarious or horrifying. So, I think this pillow is a great find (hope to try it out next week). This pillow is not a pillow as much as it is a soft support for your head. It attaches to the seat headrest with straps and a couple of buckles. The sides wrap around my head to my temple on each side. The eye shade attaches to the sides with a velcro-like fabric. It is a large eyeshad with foam around the edge and an open center section that keeps the interior from pressing into your eyes or eyelashes (I really dislike that). So, the pillow is attached to the seat and the eyeshade is attached to the pillow and your head is held in place – it can’t tip forward. AND it doesn’t feel constraining, like some of the crazy designs I have seen elsewhere. It is very light, not at all bulky, feels comfy around my head, blocks out all the light, and keeps my head from flopping around. The fabric, soft but not too thick filling, and construction all seem to be of very high quality. It is also smaller in its bag that other neck pillows I have tried (although not as small as an inflatable pillow, which are awful). I think it will be perfect. I will edit my review once I have tried it “in the field” but I already expect good things and better sleep. I just also noticed that its FSA/HSA eligible, which makes it even better!
