The design of this pillow is quite different from the usual travel pillows that wraps around your neck providing some cushioning for your neck and head to rest on. The issue I have with those is that they can become uncomfortable, requiring me to keep adjusting the position. Also, they don't prevent my head from bobbing forward or sideways.This pillow purports to resolve that issue. Straps are used to attach it to the headrest of a car seat or airplane seat and then the eye mask is used to cradle your head providing stability to the head and neck while simultaneously blocking out light from your eyes. Being tethered in this manner effectively prevents your head from bobbling forward or from side to side. Genius? It may not be for everyone as it also limits your positioning in the seat. The pillow and mask are filled with foam and feel soft and comfortable. I tried them on in my car while wearing my earbuds with no issues. I was not able to don my headphones while wearing the pillow and mask. When not in use they roll up tightly and can be stored in the soft carrying pouch. I am really looking forward to wearing these on my next overseas flight.
