The photo/text instructions on the box and tag are a bit confusing, but once I played around with it for a minute and figured out how to assemble it, it worked great! It's more of a padded head support than an actual pillow, but that's more useful to me than an actual pillow. My problem has always been my head drooping, bobbing, and lolling (causing neck strain and discomfort) and this eliminates that. It provides light cushioning for the back of the head and a choice of two soft straps to hold your head flat/upright against the seat headrest. You can use the eye mask (which is very soft and cushioned) and/or the chin strap (which is less cushioned, but still soft), depending on where you want your head secured and whether you want your eyes covered. The velcro tabs hold securely, but are easy to release when you are ready to remove the eye/chin strap(s). I have already enjoyed the comfort of this head support on a short flight and look forward to using it on some long international flights this summer.
